Clicker 2018 Results!

25th March 2018, at KKC dojo.

I'm very pleased to say this was an excellent tournament with some great fighting demonstrated by everyone. Congratulations to to all competitors on putting on their best performances, and in particular those who placed! There are some very promising up-and-coming Kyokushin fighters in our midst and I look forward to their further development in the future! Keep an eye out for some exciting new developments on the fighting front!

We finished early due to the great work by organisers and officials, every single one of which is a volunteer, as well as the other volunteers who helped make the day work.

It takes a lot of people to put on a tournament, and we are always very appreciative of our volunteers who contribute their time to make it work well. On that note, we wish to thank the following people for their help:

  • For set-up the day before, thanks to Sensei Jenny, Anthony Zamattia, Scott Harris, Justin, Sophie, Allegra, and Tom Slade.
  • Helping on the tables on the day – Peter McDonald, Kasey Medeiros, and Isabella Urquijo
  • Ring and Table officials – Sensei Jenny, Senpai Shigemi, Jack Britton, James Fang, Karl Murr, Danny Lai, Julian Martinelli
  • In the canteen – Anita Zamattia, Michelle Di Giacomo, and Aleta Knowles
  • Arjay Pujante for the photography, and all those who helped sell raffle tickets

A copy of the results is attached so you can see who got what and in which division.

Sensei Mark Mitchell Seminar

5th May, 1pm, KKC dojo

Our first contact training Seminar is coming up soon, but this time we'll hold it at KKC dojo on a Saturday afternoon. Watch your email and Facebook for more details. This will be useful for anyone planning on going to our Full Contact tournament on the 27th.

IFKKA Interclub Full Contact

27th May, Venue TBA

Start training NOW! Full contact tournaments are a lot harder than Clicker, and you need to start training early. There will be divisions for juniors as well, with limited contact, as in previous years. Anyone 11 years old and 8th kyu and up can compete. Keep an eye out for details on this too.

We're still looking for an appropriate venue for this event, and if you know of a nearby school or community hall for rent that's large enough (bigger than 10m x 10x, with lots of seating and parking, and not too expensive, please let me know as soon as possible.
